Topline Urbanworks Completes Principal Photography of
"Short Fuse"

WEST HOLLYWOOD, /PR Newswire/ -- Topline Urbanworks LLC has
announced that it has recently completed principle photography and
is currently in post-production of their first indie film project
titled "Short Fuse." The film was directed by Jon Fong and
stars Demetrius Navarro (E.R., Friday), Godfrey (Soulplane, 7-Up
pitchman), and Paige Moss (It's All Relative). Actors Joe Reitman
(Townies), Ty Granderson Jones (Con Air, CB4), and Emilio Rivera
(Con Air, Traffic, Bruce Almighty, Collateral) are also featured in
supporting roles.
The story of "Short Fuse" is about a boxer, Shane
(Navarro), who after being suspended for a year by the boxing
commission gets a chance to fight again in Las Vegas against the
super welter champion of the world, Francisco "Panchito"
Bojado, a.k.a. The Baby Faced Assassin. Shane takes a road trip with
his long time friend and manager, Dogan (Godfrey), and along the
way, innocently stumbles into the underworld of drugs. In their
attempt to remedy the situation, they meet Sophia (Moss) who tries
to help them.
Los Angeles and its sprawling urban environments provided the
scenery for "Short Fuse," which is one of the elements
that Topline Urbanworks is dedicated to -- filming in their own
backyard. The small crew consisted of mostly minority talent who
worked hard and yet produced a quality project.
Herbert Dogan III, Humberto Arechiga, and Scott Weissman created
Topline Urbanworks in October 2003. This unique film production
company located in West Hollywood has been quietly incubating a
slate of film and entertainment projects. Recently Topline
Urbanworks announced that it would enter into a joint venture with
Cardinal Capital.Net Inc. to form a company called Topline Capital
Ventures, which plans to raise $20 million dollars to finance a
slate of urban entertainment projects that Topline Urbanworks will
produce.
