tea and talent showcase.

Award-winning poet and author, Charlotte Sista C Ferrell &
Guests presents, “Straight From the Heart,” a day long event
featuring two workshops : “Heart Writing” (11 am-1pm, $25
donation); “Taking Your Finances to Heart” seminar 1-2 pm,
free), and a free Showcase Tea. The tea is a mixer showcasing
readings from Sista C’s book, From Pillows to Pillars as well as
songs, poems, dance and book excerpts from her talented guests. Open
mike slots will be available throughout the afternoon. The guest
list includes professionals in the publishing, recording and
entertainment industries. Donations support the work of event host,
Mustardseed Ministries Internat’l E.D.C., a non-profit health and
creative-arts outreach ministry that provides peer leadership
training and mentoring to youth and others.
“Heart Writing ” workshop (11 am-1pm, $25 donation)
Learn what it means to write from your heart. Participate in three
types of “heart writing” exercises. Learn ways to use “Heart
Writing” in your personal and professional life. Experience the
health benefits of Writing from the Heart. Facilitated by Charlotte
Sista C Ferrell, 10 yr nutrition and lifestyle columnist for US and
Canadian media; University instructor and facilitator for science,
health and creative arts courses; international speaker; author and
recording artist.
“Taking Your Finances to Heart” seminar( 1-2 pm, free)
A “heart to heart” discussion about taking charge of your
finances so you can fund your dreams and protect your loved ones and
assets. Seminar Leader is Mark Lintner, a Financial Planner and
Insurance Representative with Mutual of Omaha. Participants will
receive an up to $200 value individualized check up of key financial
indicators
free Friendship Tea & Talent Showcase 2- 4:30 pm
Romantic poetry reading from award winning poet & author,
Charlotte Sista C Ferrell, who’ll also be signing her book &
CD, From Pillows to Pillars. Open mike throughout the afternoon
featuring some of LA’s finest poets, singers, dancers, writers.
